Black and White

Dark and deep feelings
Shunned by the great and moral
Dwells in my mind, cozily.
Rude, they say; unkind, another;
Selfish to some, the complexity of
A mind, dark. Morally black.
Warm and caring feelings
Welcome by the great and moral
Roams my thoughts, fluidly.
Friendly, they say; kind, another;
Selfless to some, the simplicity of
A mind, bright. Morally white.
To choose one side, to be one, is
To be loyal to the face of the world.
But I can't help but be the oneness
Within duality: to be both, at once.
The complex-simplicity or simple-complexity of
A mind, dark and bright. Morally grey.
